Parents may be eligible to migrate to Australia if their child (natural, adopted or step-child) is in Australia and is an Australian citizen or Australian permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen.

Parent Subclass 103 Visa (Permanent Visa)

► This visa allows parents of an Australian citizen permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen to live in Australia permanently.

 

Contributory Parent Visa (Temporary) Subclass 173

► This allows parents of an Australian citizen, permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen to live in Australia temporarily.

Applicants who want to stay in Australia permanently can then apply for a Contributory Parent visa (subclass 143) and become a permanent resident.


 

Contributory Parent Visa Subclass 143

► This visa allows parents of an Australian citizen, permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen to live in Australia permanently.

 

Aged Parent Subclass 804 Visa

► This visa is a permanent visa which allows an aged parent to move to Australia to live with their settled Australian citizen, permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen, if more of their children live in Australia than any other country

 

Sponsored Parent Subclass 870

► This is a temporary visa which will allow a parent of an Australian Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident or eligible New Zealand Citizen to visit Australia for up to 3 or 5 years. This visa provides parents with a new pathway to temporarily reunite with their children and grandchildren in Australia.
